If you are familiar with NTFS file systems then you still might not be familiar with NTFS5. As you may well be aware, NTFS is a high performance file system that has self healing capabilities. NTFS is a property used for Windows XP, Windows Cista, Windows 2003, Windows 2000 and Windows 7. NTFS has advanced features that can support file level security providing much higher security options than other file systems. With an NTFS file system you are more protected against hackers and various other malicious users. Compression and auditing are also enhanced with an NTFS file system. NTFS can even support large volumes and storage solutions that are cutting edge technology like RAID. However, NTFS5 brings a whole new advanced version into the NTFS file system genre.

With NTFS5 Windows has new capabilities and is far more versatile than it ever was before. NTFS5 was introduced on Windows 2000 but it can be used today with Windows Vista and Windows 7. NTFS5 carries all of the features that the NTFS file system possessed so you don’t lose anything that the file system previously had. NTFS5 is far better than NTFS because of various performance upgrades as well as reliability improvements. The two enhancements help to improve security and permissions to extremes. You can feel very protected with an NTFS5 file system knowing that your journals, disk defragment tool, disk quotas, sparse files, reparse points, volume mount points and various other features have been upgraded. However, NTFS5 does have some problems that can lead to data loss and corruption that can leave you with no other option but to reformat. REMO is software that can perform NTFS file recovery, it can recover FAT32 partitions, and even SCSI data recovery.

The regular deletion of a file doesn’t actually erase the contents of the given file; instead it simply marks the file as deleted in the directory. The disk space can now be used by other files for storage of data. The quicker you remember to make use of an undelete software, the more the chances of recovering the data. In addition, many operating systems and utility programs store recently-deleted files intact in case they are needed. In Windows, this storage folder is the Recycle Bin.

A file that is deleted, is first sent to the Recycle Bin, and stays there until the user empties the Recycle Bin. In reality, it is only the file pointer that is deleted, and not the data present in the file. It is therefore possible to recover files deleted from the Recycle Bin with ease.

REMO Recover (Windows) Basic Edition software makes deleted files recovery process, an effortless task for the user. The easy-to-use interface embedded in the software, demands zero technical knowledge from the user for retrieval of the deleted data. This data recovery software also lets users preview the recovered files, before saving them. The software comes with an advanced file tracer, which searches for lost files, and recovers them completely.

Some computer users could accidentally format their hard drives. Accidentally formatting a hard drive and losing data can be a real pain. This may pose quite a big challenge for home users because they think the data gets permanently deleted after a format. But for data forensic experts, data recovery after format is not a complicated task. In fact, it is now possible to use file recovery software to recover files from formatted hard drive.

What exactly happens to your data after formatting?

Formatting does not harm much to your drive. It will not erase stored data on the drive so it is actually possible to recover files with the use of data recovery software. During a format, you are just allowing the system to re-use the space on your drive by over-writing existing files. So a very determined data recovery expert can easily extract deleted files from the drive. Latest recovery software, which can be used easily by a home user, can also recover data from a recently formatted drive.

What can be done to rescue the files?

If you have accidentally formatted your drives and lost data in the process, the first thing that you can do is to use powerful data recovery software like Remo Recover (Windows), to rescue your files lost due to formatting. This is a more affordable approach, easier, and fast.

Remo Recover (Windows) Pro Edition lets you recover files from both FAT and NTFS file systems. Software is both safe and reliable. In addition, it’s distinctively designed recovery algorithms allow home and business users to recover lost data quickly.

Most of us are very quick in deleting a file that we feel is of no use, or is causing trouble for running of some applications on our PC. We later realize, that the file was needed for running of some application, and try to get back what we deleted. If the deleted file is present in the Recycle Bin, we can get them back using the Restore option. But, there are some instances in which, the deleted files bypass the Recycle Bin. One such scenario is when a file is deleted from an external hard drive. But there is nothing to worry. You can recover deleted files from external hard drive, by taking some precautions,

Make sure, you stop using the PC from which the data has been deleted IMMEDIATELY, to prevent any further damage to the data that is to be recovered.

Do not download or install any application, onto the PC from which data is to be recovered.

Always install the data recovery software on another healthy PC, and use this PC to recover data from the affected drive.

Never save the recovered data onto the external hard drive from which you are recovering the data, as this might result in overwriting of the data, resulting in permanent erasure of data.

REMO Recover (Windows) Basic Edition software, is a comprehensive undelete software, that lets you recover deleted files of all formats, from all types of storage devices. It also lets you recover deleted files from external hard drive with ease. Its easy-to-use interface, makes the undelete process a piece of cake.

When you consider the topic of file recovery you must bear in mind two separate factors. The first is that the files you wish to locate and recover can be of many possible types. The second factor is that those various files are likely to be located (albeit hidden) on all kinds of devices.

Perhaps the most commonly deleted and then recovered file types are image files. These include JPEGs, TIFs, PNGs, GIFs, BMPs and around a hundred more very commonly used file types. But these do not include video files such as AVI or MOV files. The next type of file you are likely to be searching for in your quest to recover deleted files are document files. Most people assume that these are strictly .DOCs, but there are dozens of file types for text processing. In fact there is a proprietary file type for every different word processor. Beyond Document, video and image files there are zipped files, executables, library files and at least ten thousand other file types. How does this apply to you? When you are attempting data recovery using a third party program for that purpose you need to make sure the program you buy will find and recover any and all file types stored on your PC. A cheap program that only recognizes a few files will never suffice.
